📖 Bible Text:

"Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it." – Isaiah 2:2 (NKJV)

📝 Exposition:

The church of Christ was not an afterthought—it was in God’s eternal plan. The prophets foretold the establishment of the Lord’s church long before it came into existence. Isaiah, Daniel, and Micah all spoke of a coming kingdom that would be established by God in the last days.

What did the prophets reveal about the church?

  1. It Would Be Established in the Last Days – Isaiah prophesied that God’s house (the church) would be built in the latter days (Isaiah 2:2). The New Testament confirms that this happened in the first century (Acts 2:16-17).
  2. It Would Begin in Jerusalem – The prophecy specified Jerusalem as the starting point (Isaiah 2:3). The church began there on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4).
  3. It Would Include All Nations – The Lord’s house would welcome people from every nation (Isaiah 2:2, Acts 2:5).
  4. It Would Be an Everlasting Kingdom – Daniel prophesied that God would set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed (Daniel 2:44), referring to Christ’s eternal reign.

Since these prophecies have been fulfilled, we can be assured that the church of Christ is the one true church that God planned from the beginning.

📖 Supporting Scriptures:

  • Daniel 2:44 – God’s kingdom shall never be destroyed.
  • Micah 4:1-2 – The Lord’s house shall be established, and many nations shall flow to it.
  • Matthew 16:18 – Jesus declared that He would build His church, and the gates of Hades would not prevail against it.

✅ Practical Application:

  • Be confident in the church. It was prophesied, fulfilled, and built by Christ. No other church has divine origin.
  • Understand its uniqueness. The church of Christ is the only church established by God’s plan.
  • Invite others into the kingdom. Many are unaware that they are in man-made religious groups—help them see the truth.

  • Am I helping others to see that the church of Christ is the fulfilment of prophecy?
