The Universality of God's Love

📌 February Theme: "Laying the Right Foundation"

📅 Week 1 Theme: "The Need for Salvation"

📅 February 12 – "The Universality of God's Love"

📖 Bible Text:

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." – John 3:16 (NKJV)

📝 Exposition:

God’s love is not limited to a particular race, nation, or social class—it is universal. When Jesus said, "God so loved the world," He meant that everyone is included. His love is unconditional, sacrificial, and available to all who will receive it.

The greatest expression of this love is seen in the giving of His Son, Jesus Christ. While humanity was still in sin, God made a way for salvation (Romans 5:8). His love is not based on human worthiness, but on His grace.

However, God’s love also demands a response—belief and obedience. Although Christ died for all, only those who accept and obey Him will receive the gift of eternal life (Hebrews 5:9).

📖 Supporting Scriptures:

  • Romans 5:8 – "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
  • 1 Timothy 2:3-4 – "...God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

✅ Practical Application:

  • Understand that God loves you – No matter your past, His love is available to you.
  • Do not reject His love – Accept the salvation offered through Christ.
  • Show God’s love to others – If His love is for all, we must reflect it in our actions.
  • Teach others about God’s love – Many do not realise that salvation is for them too.

🤔 Reflection Questions:

  • Do I truly believe that God’s love includes me, despite my past?
  • How can I share God’s love with others today?

💡 Closing Thought (Motivational Statement):

"God’s love knows no boundaries—He gave His Son so that all may be saved!"

🙏 Prayer:

"Heavenly Father, thank You for loving the whole world, including me. Help me to accept and share Your love so that others may come to know You. In Jesus' name, Amen."
